Getting so close!

Since my last update in the hospital I am back at home on bed rest. It is so much nicer to be at home laying in bed than being at the hospital laying in bed. The fluid around the girls is still low but as the doctors put it, it is at the low end of fine so I usually have 3 doctor appointments a week but I will take it to make sure that the girls are safe and sound.

Everyone has been asking me how long they think I will go so I asked my doctor and she said that she is surprised I have made it this long. (Thanks for all the prayers!!) But she said she is shooting for 34 weeks which is in 3 weeks!!! She said the girls should be fine and not have to spend a long time in the NICU. They already got the steroid shot for their lungs so hopefully that helps as well. I feel confident that they will be just fine. They are tough little girls already I can tell!

Other than all the stuff going on with the pregnancy our life is pretty boring. Kemper is staying busy with work and we are trying to speed up the process on the girls room and get everything done! I will continue to try and keep you all updated on whats going on!!

Here are some pics of the every growing belly!

Here is the belly at almost 30 weeks. Still in the hospital as you can tell with my IV.

Here is the belly at 31 weeks.

I only blog when I am at the hospital

Yes it is true I am back at the hospital.I thought yesterday was going to be a normal day but I was wrong. I had a doctor appointment and I thought it would be fine since everything was fine last week when I went.

I went back and had the ultrasound, he measured the girls and they looked so cute and were just moving around like crazy but then I saw that the doctor kept measuring the same thing ( I had no clue what it was obviously) He then told me that the amniotic fluid was low. Baby A's fluid is between 3-4 cm and Baby B's was 2cm. It is suppose to be between 8-10. YIKES! So they obviously sent me straight to the hospital. They think that my chronic high blood pressure due to my kidney disease is what is causing this. I am on so much blood pressure medicine it is unreal but it does not seem to help. So with all that being said we had a scary moment last night, they tested me for preeclampsia and said if it came back positive they were going to deliver the babies. Talk about panic attack these babies are too little to come now!! So thankfully the test came back negative so the girls did not have to be delivered yet!! So as of right now I am staying here to be monitored they are checking the fluids tomorrow and I could get to go home or this could be my home away from home til our little girls arrive.
Kemper has been so great through all of this! He is so supportive and so calm which is a good thing! Thank you thank you for everyone for your thoughts and prayers! These little girls need it!

a little bump in the road

Well here I am siting in the hospital. No the girls are not here thank goodness but they are trying to make their debut. Well I will give you the short version of what has been happening. I went to the doctor about a week ago. It was a usual check up were they check my cervix and measure the babies. The girls looked great but my cervix had shortened.(not good) The doctor told me to go home and take it easy and not lift things and come back in a week and we will measure again. So I went in yesterday with Kemper to get measured. Well of course just my luck my cervix has shortened more and I was having some cramping so they walked me right over to labor and delivery. They hooked me up the the monitor and we went from there.

So to spare you all from all the medical terms that I don't know and really don't know what they mean bascially I have been in the hospital for 2 days they are giving me different kinds of medicines to make my crazy uterus calm down. Tomorrow I will know more but I am pretty positive that it is bed rest for me! So give me ideas of books you like things to do while on bed rest cause I am my fathers daughter and I do not like to sit still haha! But don't worry I am not in labor but we are just taking precautions to make sure that they do not come too early. They are strong little girls and are moving around great! Thanks for all of the thoughts and prayers and I will use to blog to update everyone on what is going on!

love you alll!

questions

I started back up my blog again so I could remember all the things about this pregnancy, since it's my first and it's twins. Now I know that most of you know when you become pregnant people ask you all kinds of crazy or personal questions. Well when you are pregnant with multiples it seems to be amplified! Here are the questions that I get and mostly in this order.."Oh you are having twins, are you on fertility medicine?" ummm excuse me do I know you. It is one thing to talk about this with your family and friends but random people... no thanks! To answer the question no I was not on fertility medicine it just happened.

Next question, (this one is usually next once they find out my husband is a twin) "Oh so are you having twins because your husband is a twin?" Now I will admit this I was no expert on twins before I got pregnant with them but having twins has nothing to do with the husband. If you have identical twins its just a random thing because the egg splits, if you have fraternal twins the mom dropped two eggs. Right now we don't know if they are identical or fraternal. The girl each have their own sac and own placenta so we really won't know until they come out!!

The third question is "Are you going to dress them the same/make their names rhyme?" I like this question it makes me laugh.. Since they are girls I will probably dress them a like for awhile, not all the time obviously but it's cute and I might as well take advantage of it while they still let me dress them! And no their names will not rhyme or start with the same letter.. I don't really hate it if their names rhyme but that is one thing that my husband can not handle it so their names won't rhyme!!

Now don't get my wrong I love questions and don't mind answering them they just make me laugh sometimes! Especially random grandmas at the grocery story who ask me when I am due and when I say May they ask me why I am so big?? haha precious

Here is baby A.. she is breech right now so she likes to headbutt me in the ribs!! sweetie pie!

This is baby B. She is just hanging out..she is head down and just hanging out!

This is Kemper and our nephew making banana bread! Kemper is going to be such a good dad!

Starting Over

I am the worst at blogging but alot has changed over the past couple of years and I want to document it so I can remember this wonderful time!

Okay quick recap on the past couple of years... Kemper and I both graduated from BYU-Idaho. YAY! We moved to Flower Mound,TX. Kemper got a job working at a company called Accenture..(he does stuff with finance that is all I know). We bought a cute little house that needs a little bit of love but we are working on it. Needless to say we feel like we are becoming adults. It is exciting and scary all at the same time!

Now for the exciting news!! Kemper and I are going to be the parents of two cute little twins girls this coming April or May. We are super super excited! My due date is May 19th but twins usually make their debut around 37 weeks which for me is around the end of April.

So how it all began..We have been trying to get pregnant for a couple of months but with moving to Texas moving into a new home and Kemper starting a new job things were busy busy! So skip to September I took a test and it was positive. YAY We didn't want to tell everyone right away to make sure that nothing happened. I started getting really sick at 6 weeks. It made it so hard to work and function as a normal human being. It was not much fun!

At the beginning of Oct. we went to our 8 week appointment. I was nervous because I wanted to make sure that everything is okay. Right away I knew that something was happening by the reaction from the ultrasound tech. She said "Well I have something to tell you." Of course I thought the worst. She said "There are two babies." Of course I had every reaction..umm are you freaking kidding me?? I cried and laughed and got sick (love morning sickness)and Kemper was in shock but so excited. We are so excited and can't wait for them to get here!!

Now fast forward to now.. I am almost 23 weeks I am freakin huge but I am loving life! The girls are moving like crazy and growing like crazy. I have to go to a lot of doctor appointments but it is nice to know that a lot of people are looking out for us!

I will post pics of my ever growing belly soon! Thanks so much for the love and support that everyone has shown us! We could not be more excited! Our house will soon be covered in pink! I hope Kemper is ready. =)

well hello everyone..it has been a little while. let's see what has been going on. I finally after months of waiting I got another job. After half the semester is over i finally have 3 part time jobs which I think equals a full time job. Well if you are dying to know what my three jobs I work at a preschool in the morning and at an after school program in the morning. I thought that older kids would be easier that 3 year olds. I was soo wrong. 5-9 year olds are pretty dramatic. not to say that i was not dramatic when i was that age but wow..it fun though. always an experience. today we were suppose to make playdough which turned into paste and got all over the room and covered mostly my clothes. I think i was named the paper towel for all the kids hands to be wiped on me. but i love it.. kids are fun. and it is my career path so i better get use to it.

I also work with a little girl with cerebral palsy. She is so great. I have learned so many great lessons from her. It is really neat to see her grow and her eyes light up when she learns something new. it is really fun.

well kemper is staying super super super busy with school. man i can not wait to be done with school and get out of idaho. no offense to people from here but im gonna go crazy. =)

well i guess that is all for now. we are staying busy busy but loving being married. we miss our families sooo much and can not wait to see them.
